Denmark: Radius Elnet and DTU collaborate on power grid project

    September 14, 2023 - M-Brain Nordic News

Danish electricity distribution company Radius Elnet and Technical University of Denmark (DTU) are working together on a project aimed at providing a greater understanding of how intelligent solutions may support the power grid when there is pressure from electric car charging in city areas. The project, based in Frederiksberg, aims to develop more flexibility, and ensure that the cost of developing the electricity grid does not run off completely. According to Radius Elnet, there are two options on hand when electricity consumption increases during certain periods. Either the company must try to make use of the available capacity that exists at other times of the day, or millions of DKK must be spent on expanding the electricity network.
