Danish grid company Cerius has announced that it will invest more than DKK 150mn (EUR 20.02mn USD 22.14mn) in new cables and transformers in Ringsted. The investment includes both the purchase of land, transformer stations and components for strengthening the infrastructure. CEO Jens Fossar Madsen says the power grid is crucial for the green transition, as the movement away from fossil fuels will only continue to increase electrification in society. Cerius and fellow subsidiary Radius are looking into so many new projects up to 2030 that a two-digit billion amount of DKK will be invested in the electricity grid.
