Danish wind turbine company Vestas (CPH:VWS) announced on Wednesday that it has secured a significant 126 MW order from Apex Clean Energy, an established player in the renewable energy sector.
This order pertains to the repowering of the Downeast Wind project, located in Maine, USA. Vestas will supply and deliver 30 V150-4.2 MW wind turbines for this project, along with handling their commissioning.
To enhance the project's long-term performance, Vestas will also provide a multi-year service agreement known as Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000). This agreement is geared towards optimizing the asset's overall performance and ensuring its sustained efficiency.
The project's timeline is well-defined, with turbine deliveries commencing in the second quarter of 2024 and the commissioning phase set to take place during the fourth quarter of the same year.
