Swedish start-up company Skyqraft has developed an AI-based solution for faster and more efficient inspections of electricity grid infrastructure. Images taken by drones can be analysed to detect problems. The company estimates that about 90% of issues are missed when using conventional methods. The company has now raised SEK 40mn (EUR 3.52mn USD 3.89mn). Investors include Neptunia Invest, Subvenio Invest, Antler and a group of angel investors. Louise Gauffin, CEO at Skyqraft, says that the capital will enable the company to accelerate its development and expand in the US. The company has concluded agreements with a number of major energy companies, including EON.
