Macquarie Asset Management and Green Wind Renewables have signed a partnership agreement to deliver large-scale wind farm projects in Western Australia. Macquaire Asset Management’s specialist Green Investments team and GWR will develop a portfolio of large-sized onshore wind farms totaling up to 2.4GW. The projects establish a well located and diversified portfolio in high wind resource areas. Future projects may be incorporated into the joint venture.

Macquarie Asset Management’s specialist Green Investments team and GWR will develop a portfolio of large-scale onshore wind farms totaling up to 2.4GW in Western Australia which are planned to be connected to the South-West Interconnected System (SWIS).
The projects are in the early stage of development and have land agreements secured with landowners, comprehensive resource monitoring progressing and will be subject to detailed community and stakeholder consultation processes as the developments proceed. The projects establish a well located and diversified portfolio in high wind resource areas.
The projects will diversify and expand Macquarie Asset Management’s portfolio of onshore renewable generation projects. Macquarie Asset Management is pleased to help deliver renewable energy projects in Western Australia that support the State’s energy transition.
Future projects may be incorporated into the joint venture to enable the portfolio to continue to grow in line with increasing demand for renewable energy.
