Axpo, Sunnic Lighthouse ink PPA for 39.8 MWp of German solar

    September 27, 2023 - SeeNews Renewables

September 27 (Renewables Now) - Swiss renewables company and energy trader Axpo Holding AG said on Wednesday that it will off-take electricity generated by 39.8 MWp of operational solar farms in Germany under a new power purchase agreement (PPA).

The solar farms are owned by German developer Enerparc AG.

Axpo signed the PPA with Sunnic Lighthouse GmbH, Enerparc’s energy trading unit. As part of the contract, Sunnic will supply to Axpo 38.4 GWh of electricity per year.

The agreement is structured as a pay-as-forecast PPA based on a forecast delivery schedule for each subsequent day, Axpo said.

The power supply will commence on October 1, 2023. The PPA will initially run until December 31, 2027.

The PPA is the second such agreement between Axpo and Sunnic. It follows last year’s hand shake on the supply of 35 GWh of power from Enerparc’s Buettel solar farm in Schleswig-Holstein.
