September 28 (Renewables Now) - German turbine manufacturer Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) announced today that it has secured two separate contracts to supply and install a total of 135 MW of turbines in Italy.
The deals encompass 20 of Nordex’ Delta4000 devices -- seven N163/6.X, four N163/5.X turbines and nine N163/6.X machines. The turbines will be placed on tubular steel towers with a hub height of 108 and 113 metres (370 ft).
Nordex has also sealed two ten-year agreements for premium service for maintenance of the turbines. The customers and the projects remained undisclosed.
Work on the contracts is scheduled to start next summer. The wind farms, which will be built in the region of Apulia, are expected to be commissioned by the end of 2024.
