Turkmenistan’s Turkmengas increases production of liquefied natural gas

Trend News Agency

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 23. The Lebap production department of Turkmenistan’s Turkmengas State Concern increased the manufacture of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for 2022, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.

During the reporting period, the department produced 116,600 tons of LNG. The production plan was exceeded by 4.6 percent.

The increase in production is due to the efficient use of the Nayip and Bagaja gas fields.

At the moment, the department is in the final stage of repairing the point of reception and storage of liquefied gas at the Nayip field, as well as the point of reception and loading of LNG in the city of Gazojak in the Lebap region.

Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. Its gas reserves have increased by 126 billion cubic meters as a result of the industrial development of recently discovered gas fields.
