Wuling Power Obtains Permit for Construction of 2,550 MW Wind Power Capacity for 2023

    Wuling Power Corporation Ltd. obtained permit for construction of 1,600 MW wind power capacity in addition to the 950 MW capacity in the first batch, with a total capacity of 2,550 MW for 2023. At present, Wuling Power Corp. has signed agreements with the provincial government.

    May 15 -- Wuling Power Corporation Ltd. issued the following news release:

    Recently, Guizhou Energy Administration issued the Notice on Issuance of Guizhou Provincial Plan for 2023 Annual Wind and PV Power Construction Projects (the second batch), Wuling Power Corporation Ltd. obtained the permit for construction of 1,600 MW wind power capacity in addition to the 950 MW capacity in the first batch, with a total capacity of 2,550 MW for 2023, which shares 8.4% of the total provincial capacity.

    Since the 14th Five-Year Plan, Wuling Power Corporation Ltd. has seized the opportunity of China’s and Guizhou Province's carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, communicating with the provincial government, provincial energy administration, power grid companies and local governments, and actively deploying the new energy branch and other local units to promote the inclusion of the company's wind power, solar power, hydropower, thermal power and energy storage projects in Southeast Guizhou into China’s and Hunan-Guizhou’s power development plans. At present, Wuling Power Corporation Ltd. has signed strategic cooperation and development agreements with local governments of Guizhou Province. The application for new energy capacity in Guizhou has been successfully concluded, with a record high capacity for a single application in history.
