Georgian government plans to build the 3rd thermal power plant (TPP) of combined cycle with a capacity of 350-430 MW in Gardabani municipality (Kvemo Kartli region). At the meeting today, the government decided to announce an auction for construction of an energy-efficient power plant. At that, the government plans to alienate the 100% stake of “Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation” in LLC “Gardabani Heat Station-3”, established in 2021. The condition for alienation will be obligation of the investor to build and put into operation a station within 4 years, which will become the largest in said after the government meeting that the main condition for selecting an investor will be the lowest capital costs of construction (calculated per 1 MW). |
